Jehovah's Witnesses just came to the door. They had a new opening gambit this time, telling me that they were sure I was concerned about global warming (as an intro to their spiel). When I told them that I did not believe in global warming they stared at me astounded. "You don't believe in global warming??!!" they said incredulously. "No", says I, "the science is iffy." This so completely threw them off their stride that they ended their attempt and left rather quickly. I record this success as a public service.
