Luncheon On The Peninsula
Abby had roasted a kosher chicken, and it was so moist and delicious that the EGs talked about it all the way home. Abby also served a wonderful pilaf with nuts and cranberries, a salad, and roasted asparagus that was so good that I could have eaten the whole platter full myself. For dessert she had homemade angelfood cake with strawberries and whipped cream. It was good to see the EGs enjoying themselves so much, and Grandpa even had seconds on the dessert.
I am knitting the bands on the lavender sweater, but I don't think I have any buttons that color, though I haven't checked the button stash yet. You never really know what will turn up in the stash. I still have to sew together the cafe cardigan, and start knitting the red one.
After that delicious meal yesterday, I feel like having a breakfast for Sunday dinner, so I am going to make fried country potatoes, a ham steak, and pancakes, and a fruit salad. After that we will watch Amazing Race, and I will try to record the Lifetime Norah Roberts movie I fell asleep during last night.
